Mount Cameroon Region is having almost all these qualities that a tourist will not afford to miss while in Cameroon. This has greatly attracted a high inflow of tourists to this Region thereby creating organizations such as;

With the recent evolution in the tourism market, giving way to Eco-Tourism researchers and other nature lovers has continued to travel over the world to promote Eco tourism. With the rich cultural, biological diversity, coupled with the colourful national parks and above all, the equatorial rainforest, Korup and the Dja Reserves where researches hold strong on the rich Natural resources that Cameroon has make us not to stay indifferent with other Travel Agencies.

Ø  The Mount Cameroon Ecotourism organization (MT.CEO) that coordinates and supervise tours up Mount Cameroon with trained guides and porters who were hunters in the past.







The Bimbia Bonadikombo Natural Resource Management Council (BBNRMC) is also in charge of the Bimbia forest that is habitat to many birds, plants, butterflies as well as mangroves species that form an important ecosystem in this area.

Ø  The Limbe Botanic Garden and the Limbe Wildlife Center also has trained nature interpreters who are always present to guide all categories of tourists to these institutions.

Ø  The indigenes of the villages of Botaland and Wovia provide boat services to guides leading tourists to the Islands.

Ø  The villages of Debuncha and Boumana have village development councils that provide guides who lead tourists to the Lake and the waterfall respectively.

 Ø  The Idenau council is supervising the tourists’ activities at the 1999 Lava terminal at Bakingili.

The rich Biodiversity found within the Mount Cameroon Region which has let to the appellation Hot spot in terms of biodiversity has greatly contributed to the influx of tourists to this Region. The diversity in nature, flora and fauna made up of natural sites, endemic, rare, indigenous and near extinct species respectively jointly contribute to attract tourists from diverse back grounds, race, religion and nationality to this region.

Some of the ecotouristic attractions in Cameroon are as follows; Mount Cameroon, Bimbia Nature trail, Limbe Botanic Garden, Limbe Wildlife Center, The Debuncha Old German light house and crater Lake, the Islands of Limbe, the Black Sandy beaches, the Boumana waterfalls, the 1999 and 1922 lava terminals at Bakingili and Idenau respectively, the Ebogo ecotouristic site near Mbalmayo, the Tokem ecoutouristic ste at Bafu near Dschang, the Korup National Park, the Bakossi Mountains, The Campo Ma’an National Park………


With the recent modernization in Eco Tourism safaris, we have developed tourist’s interest on our natural and tropical rainforest. We take you to the famous Korup, Dja, Lobeke, Campo Ma’an National parks, to discover the Lowland gorillas, forest Buffalos, forest elephants and many endangered birds and wildlife species in their natural habitat.

Village Discoveries

Here, we offer you unique encounters to experience real African village life. A family stay in a village in the western highlands, a stay in a fishing village with fishermen or a stay with the Fulani cattle grazers in the north brings you nearer to the African family life by night.

Get involve in their culture and traditions, work with them in their cocoa, coffee and even grazing lands. Participate in serving food and local wine to a chief, Fon or Lamido. 3)- ECOTOURSM:  Trekking / mountain climbimg on Mount Cameroon and hiking in the humid forest of Korup Park. 

Product:  Adventure, Hiking , trekking  and Observation of  wild life. 

Itinerary: Douala-Buea-Limbe-Bimbia-Korup- Campo Ma'an-Douala. 

Number of days: 13 days/12 nights. 

Highlights of the Itinerary:  visit to 2 parks (Korup, a notorious  area  for world scientific research, and the Campo Ma'an Park, an exceptionally attractive park because of  its proximity to the sea, the exiistence of chimpanzees, the route of  slaves and the first Baptist  missionary station). 

 Day 1: Douala-Buea  Arrival at the Douala International airport , transfer into a  minibus and departure to Buea. Checking into the hotel, Dinner and night Rest. 

Day 2: Buea - Trekking on  Mount Cameroon (1st shelter/hut) 

Early departure for  Mount Cameroon through Mt CEO (for  formalities  and to get accompanied by  ecoguides and carriers). 

To do: trekking on Mount  Cameroon, get on the track to the 1st shelter /hut situated at about 1830m  in altitude and about 2 to 2h30 of walking/climbing from upper Farms,  a hilly track of farmers plantations.

 A  spring with about 8° C of temperature awaits you just before  the 1st shelter/hut . Rest and continuation to the second shelter/hut,  situated at  about 2780m in altitidude.  

During the trip,discover a dense equatorial forest with a rich biodiversity, have a picnic lunch at hut 2  and return to the  city.  

Get on board a vehicle  and drive down to the city of Limbe passing through the wonderfully  attractive land scape of Tole tea estate..  

Arrival at Limbe, Checking into  the hotel and night. 

Day 3: Limbe - Bimbia-Botanical Garden 

Early Wake-up and departure after  breakfast to Bimbia, the route of  slaves. Discovery of Bonabile (locality where the first Baptist missionaries, Alfred Saker and Joseph MERICK, alighted in Cameroon).  

Visit of Bonagombe, the station from where slaves were embarked to the Fernand dopo island  or to the island of Goree in Senegal.  

Hiking by boat/canoe to the island of Nichol where Chief Manga William  used as a hide-out for  the men  he didn't want to sell out as slaves), then get back on the way, hiking through the mangrove swamps of Dikolo, the locality of  the Bimbia Dikombo Forestry community.

 Return to the city, stopping at the fishing Port  to eat roasted fresh fish while having your feet in water.Visit the Botanic Garden on your way back.  Return to the hotel and Night. 

Day 4: Limbe - Idenau-Ekombe - Mbonge-Mundemba

Early wake-up and departure for Idenau,  a mid-way town to the fishing port.  

Continuation to Ekombe to discover the marvelous waterfalls of river meme , situated 8km from the CDC plantations of Mbonge.  

Then get on the way to Ekondo Titi, then to Mundemba.  

Arrival at Mundemba in the later part of  the afternoon, checking into an inn.  

To discover: traditional dances under the moonlight, dinner and night. 

Day 5: Mudemba- Korup Park. 

Early wake-up and departure for Korup park .  Installation at the Iriba inene Camp. Hiking and visit of the park, bird watching and nature observation, discovery of elephants, with a little luck on your side.  

Have a picnic  lunch . Return to the Camp, rest , dine and Night. 

Day 6: Spend the whole day in  the Korup Park

Day 7: Korup Park -Mundemba-Kumba  

Early wake-up and return to the city of Mundemba.Transfer and continuation to Barombi Koto. Arrival at the Koto village, transfer by canoe/boat to the island of Barombi Koto. Installation at  a private inhabitant’s home or under tents in bivouac. Hiking on the Lake. Cultural evening, meeting of the local inhabitants,  traditional dances and night. 

Day 8: Barombi Koto-Douala: 

Spend the whole morning in the village and get on the way in the later part of the morning to  Douala. Arrival at Douala,checking into the hotel and free Evening. 

Day 9: Douala-Pongo Songo-Kribi-Campo 

Early wake-up and departure for the Sanctuary of chimpanzees of the Pongo- Songo island  ( situated about 102km from Douala), on a very well maintained track. It is necessary to arrive at the island before 8.00am in order to be able to withness a

  breakfast  session of chimpanzees. The island of Pongo Songo is a site that habours orphan chimpanzees whose ecological follow-up is ensured by a French NGO named PAPAYA. After the observation of the chimps, discovery (by choice) of the first Catholic church in Cameroon constructed by Germans in 1890 at Mariemberg. Then  take the track for Kribi situated at about 2hours of driving from the village of Mariemberg . 

 Arrival at Kribi, stop-over to Dine, then continue the journey to Campo Ma'an. Installation at Bohombo Camp. After resting, make a tour of the village. Cultural evening, dinner and night. 

Day 10: Campo Beach-Park  

Early wake-up and departure to the Park,  Stop-over at Nkoelong, then continuation to the Park.  

To do/see: pedestrian hiking in the Park,bird watching, watching of buffalos and elephants with little luck.  

Discovery of the underground cave of elephants and of picathartes.  

Discovery of the Memve'Ele falls and a basin in the form of a lake on Memve'Ele. 

Day 11: Park - Island Dipikar 

Wake-up and departure after breakfast to the Dipikar island via Mabiogo. Hiking in the island, Birdwatching and with a little luck, watching of elephants also. Return to Campo Beach by canoe/boat and discovery of the marine ecosystems along the Ntem stream. In the evening, dance, tales and Yassa legends.  Dinner and night. 

Day 12: Campo - Kribi 

Early wake-up and departure after breakfast to Kribi, Stop-over in Ebodje to visit the village and meet members of EBOTOUR, a local organization in charge of developing ecotourism and the main activity of which is the  sponsorship of marine turtles. 

Continuation to the Wolf Rock ( a rock that has the shape of a wolf with a tail that stretches out to the river banks). Then get on to the road for Big Batanga. Stop-over to visit the arts museum of Batanga. Then get back to the road for the Lobe Falls,

 (unique in the world, the falls of a stream that empties itself directly into the sea),to cross the falls in its lower part and discover part of the mouth(embouchure). Eating of shrimps and lobsters. In the later part  of the afternoon, take the track back to the hotel. Checking in  and dinner. 

Day 13: Kribi-Douala 

Early wake-up and breakfast. Morning period reserved for bathing/swimming and to leave after lunch for Douala.

To  Purchase crafts in the flower market. To eat the last roasted fresh fish. In the evening, departure to the airport and take-off. End of visit.
